Remigration

Another topic I have “touched upon” is “remigration.” This word is a neologism, which means coming back to where you have been driven out.I've always said that I wanted a smooth ride, but I couldn't help rocking the boat. Rocking seems to be in my genes.

Remarkable People

On the road I have traveled, I have met many remarkable people. First I name my friend and mentor the late Emile Capouya. “Mike” encouraged me over the years and published two of my books in New York.

Herbert Kuhner

grew up in the United States, associating with the New York City jazz and coffee scene in the 1950s. ". . I've always said that I wanted to have smooth sailing, but I couldn't help rocking the boat. Rocking seems to be in my genes". As a subtitle I’ve chosen “Stepping out of line,” which is a movement my feet can’t seem to avoid making.

Vienna Today

Returning to my birthplace has given me a unique opportunity of writing on Third Reich Revisionism. This topic interlinks with Violence under the Guise of Art like pieces of a puzzle to reveal how the past manifests itself in the present.

Boys Will Be Boys

Yes, boys will be boys,
and having a lady give her consent
is just half the fun. These days
muckraking journals and the fuzz
are party poopers.
who lay in wait for boys
who sow their oats
in the good old-fashioned way.

Bill looked me and a few other people square in the eye, squinting his […]

Nit-Picking with Ronald Reagan

Herbert Kuhner
I saw films with actor Ronald Reagan in my youth - a handsome charming hero, but he didn’t have the charisma to rise above B-films and supporting roles in A-films.
Asked by a reporter in 1966 what kind of governor he would make, he replied, “I don’t know. I’ve never played a governor.” Well, he […]

Bruno Kreisky and Otto Mühl

“Everything is worthy of presentation….That includes rape and murder (1). Coitus, torture and the annihilation of man and beast is the only drama worth viewing…..Murder is an integral part of sex. House pets have to serve as surrogates. I intend to commit the perfect murder on a goat that will serve as a substitute […]

“I won’t tolerate any hate campaigns against Jews in my empire. All anti-Semitism must immediately be nipped in her bud.”
- Franz Joseph, 1882
“I am convinced the Israelites are unequivocally loyal; they will always be able to count on my protection.”
- Franz Josef, 1883 to the Jewish Community in Graz

The Invasion of Iraq

Herbert Kuhner
In the Second Iraq War, by invading Iraq,
The United States unleashed a conflict
between the Sunnis and Shiites,
and removed the buffer to Iran,
making Iran the major power in the Mid-East,
and causing Israel to be more vulnerable,
not to mention the mountains of dead and wounded!
(Thanks to George, Dick  and Tony)
But as we know they meant well!

The Vietnam War

Herbert Kuhner
In order to prevent the Asian dominos from falling,
the United States entered the Vietnamese Civil War
on the South Vietnamese side.
The result was the uniting of traditional enemies
against the United States.
By the incursion into Cambodia, the United States
triggered off the Khmer Rouge carnage,
adding to mountains of dead and wounded.
(Thanks Dick and Henry!)
But as we know they […]

Fatima

Herbert Kuhner
The first sacred message received by the children at Fatima in 1917 was basically directed against atheism and communism. The second and third were directed against the Soviet Union.
The Catholic Church had it in for the Soviet Union. That stands to reason.
Every religion - save Judaism - is evangelistic, including the atheistic religion of […]
