Art can no longer be produced.

Dear friends, we have gathered here today to discuss the situation in the arts and literature, which is indeed critical. In the history of mankind, there has never been such an impasse, as far as culture is concerned. Something must be done and we must act now. A revolution is called for. Art and literature cannot simply be allowed to give up the ghost. Museums must continue to exhibit, literary publishers must continue to publish, and theaters must continue to produce plays. Culture must be saved from extinction. And it’s up to us to resuscitate it.

In the Third Reich art and literature were replaced by simplistic propaganda illustrations and fiction. Significant writers and artists were neutralized, persecuted, forced to flee or done away with. That left a vacuum. It’s up to us to fill the gap.

We have the necessary spirit and singleness of purpose. There is sense of guilt about the past and we’ll exploit that. Those who are in positions of influence must be replaced by us. The difference between them and us is that they have their doubts and we have a sense of conviction. In a short time, we will secure the key positions, and then we’ll run the show.

We’ll fabricate art and literature. It’s an easy matter to produce it off the assembly line. We’ll siphon off all the subsidies and prizes. But we won’t leave it at that. By packaging and presenting our work properly, we’ll be able to sell well. There’ll be no such thing as a flop. We and our minions will evaluate and interpret our products ourselves and see to it that they are highly lauded. We’ll simply smother or cow the competition. Who will dare oppose us? Only a fool! And if by chance, someone does come along and tries to criticize or ridicule us, God have mercy on him!

Urine, feces, blood and semen will be our palette. And in order to get government support we’ll use the flag as a backdrop, or better yet, use it more directly. We’ll advocate and glorify violence and practice it on ourselves and others publicly. We’ll prove that barbarism is a salable commodity.

As far as the ultimate step is concerned, we’ll begin by using animals as an ersatz. But that will change when the time is ripe.

Of course there will be an outcry against us. And the revisionists will be most vociferous. They are not opposed to violence per se, they merely oppose it when it is committed by another faction. As we know, they are busy trying to rewrite history in order to exculpate the Third Reich. We will provide them with the opportunity of assuming a moral stance, and we will clad ourselves in an anti-fascist cape and daub all those who oppose us with brown paint. And in order to show that our hearts are in the right place, we’ll promote and participate in philo-Semitic and philanthropic projects.

Austria has been a center for sophism and a breeding ground for innovation, and the Germans always eat up anything the Austrians do. And once the Germans latch on to it, the Austrians will lap it up too. Hitler is a case in point. He had to take his show on the German roads before coming home with it. He had a short span since he was defeated from without, but with us: the sky’s the limit. We’ll conquer the world by conquering the art world.

During the Third Reich barbarism went over very well. But the Nazis didn’t practice it openly enough. Events usually took place in concealed areas or on foreign soil. The Nazis were inhibited about presenting them to a German audience. And fortunately for us, Hitler and his impresarios did not want Nazi art to depict violence explicitly. But mass murder has made society more callous, and we’ll provide what was missing. As far as public performances are concerned, animals will have to fill the bill. But we won’t leave it at that. Demanding the use human corpses for our performances is a logical follow-up.

Art must be completely free. Killing is a creative act. In order to verify that, we have portrayed the violation, laceration and slaying of women and children favorably, but only as a provocation, of course.

Kunst kann man nicht mehr machen.

Liebe Kollegen, wir sind heute hier, um die kritische Situation in der Kunst zu diskutieren. In der Geschichte der Menschheit ist die Kultur bisher nie in so eine Krise geraten. Wir müssen etwas tun, und wir müssen sofort handeln. Eine Revolution muß stattfinden. Die Kunst darf nicht aussterben. Museen müssen weiter Ausstellungen zeigen, literarische Verleger müssen weiter verlegen und Theater müssen weiter Stücke aufführen. Die Kultur muß gerettet werden!

Im Dritten Reich hat man die Kunst und die Literatur durch plakative Bilder und Trivialliteratur ersetzt. Bedeutende Autoren und Künstler sind neutralisiert, vertrieben oder getötet worden. Ein Vakuum ist geblieben, und wir müssen es füllen.

Wir haben den Geist und die Kraft. Die Vergangenheit hat Schuldgefühle hinterlassen, und die werden wir ausbeuten. Wir sind überzeugt, und die anderen zweifeln. Es wird nicht lange dauern, bis wir die Macht an uns gerissen haben. Und sobald wir die Schlüsselstellungen besetzt haben werden, werden wir die neuen Kulturträger sein.

Wir werden Kunst und Literatur am Fließband produzieren, und wir werden dafür sorgen, daß Regierungs- und Wirtschaftsgeld zu uns fließt. Aber wir lassen uns nicht einfach unterstützen. Unsere Produkte müssen wir wie Ware verbreiten, mit allem, was dazugehört. Einen Flop wird es nicht geben. Wir selbst und unsere Vasallen werden sie werten, interpretieren und preisen. Jegliche Konkurrenz werden wir gezielt ausschalten. Und wenn einer uns kritisiert oder persifliert, Gott sei ihm gnädig!

Urin, Kot, Blut und Samen werden unsere Palette sein. Die Regierung wird uns unterstützen, wenn wir die Fahne im Hintergrund haben, oder noch handfester integriert verwenden. Wir werden Gewalt verherrlichen und praktizieren. Am Anfang werden wir die Darsteller sein. Später können wir dann die Sache weiter treiben.

Natürlich werden manche uns kritisieren. Die Revisionisten werden am lautesten schreien, und das wird uns sehr nützlich sein. Sie wollen die Geschichte neu schreiben, indem sie das Dritte Reich in rosigen Farben malen und sie sind tatsächlich Gegner der Gewalt - wenn andere sie verüben. Ihre Gegnerschaft ist uns mehr als willkommen, weil wir antifaschistisch eingestellt sind. Alle unsere Gegner werden wir einfach braun bemalen. Und, um zu zeigen, daß unsere Einstellung die richtige ist, werden wir philosemitische und philanthropische Projekte unterstützen und stiften.

Österreich ist immer ein Zentrum für Talent und Sophismus gewesen, und die Deutschen fressen alles, was von uns kommt. Und was die Deutschen fressen, fressen dann auch die Österreicher. Der Führer war ein typisches Beispiel. Er mußte zuerst nach Deutschland ziehen, bevor er zu Hause bejubelt wurde. Seine Erfolgsdauer war begrenzt, weil er das Ausland nicht überzeugt hat. Aber für uns gibt es keine Grenzen! Wir werden die Welt durch die Kunst erobern. Die Barbarei läßt sich gut verkaufen.

Im Dritten Reich war die Barbarei ein großer Hit, aber die Nazis waren bieder und wollten ein ehrenhaftes Bild vortäuschen. Sie versuchten ihre Abscheulichkeiten von der heimischen Öffentlichkeit fernzuhalten und haben sie meistens hinter Mauern oder im Ausland verübt. Glücklicherweise waren Hitler und seine Kulturmacher gehemmt, was die Kunst betrifft, und haben sich nicht getraut, ihr Konzept von der Gewalt plastisch darzustellen.

Wir werden das fehlende Element herschaffen, und wir werden leichtes Spiel damit haben. Massenmord und tagtägliche Massaker haben die Gesellschaft vergröbert und bereit dafür gemacht. Am Anfang werden wir Tiere als Ersatzopfer verwenden, und dann verlangen wir menschliche Leichen.

Die Kunst muß frei sein! Mord ist eine kreative Tat, und um das zu verifizieren, haben wir die Schändung, Zerfleischung und Tötung von Frauen und Kindern heiter dargestellt, aber natürlich nur als Provokation.
