Rush Limbaugh on God and himself: “Larry King passed away, goes to heaven. He’s greeted by Saint Peter at the gates. Saint Peter says, ‘Welcome, Mr. King, it’s great to have you here. I want to show you around, give you an idea of what’s here, maybe you can pick a place that you’d like to reside.’ King says, ‘I just have one question: Is Rush Limbaugh here?’ ‘No, he’s got a lot of time yet, Mr. King.’ So Saint Peter begins the tour. Larry King sees the various places and it’s beyond anything we can imagine in terms of beauty. Finally, he gets to the biggest room of all, with this giant throne. “The whole history of humanity is marked by the people of Israel, who initially were the people of God, who then became the people of deicide, and who at the end of time will reconvert to Jesus Christ. Anti-Semitism is born from the illuminated, liberal and Gnostic world. “It’s truly impossible for a Catholic Christian to be anti-Semitic. I myself, on my father’s side, have Jewish roots. My last name even suggests this. This entire polemic regarding the statements of Bishop (Richard) Williamson concerns the existence of gas chambers, and has been strongly instrumentalized for anti-Vatican purposes. Williamson simply expressed his doubts, and his ‘denial’ is not of the Holocaust - as newspapers have falsely said - but of the technical aspect of the gas chambers.

“Truly, I don’t know. I know that gas chambers existed at least for disinfection, but I don’t know if they were used to kill people or not, because I haven’t studied the question. I know that, alongside the official version [of events], there’s another version based on the observations of the first Allied technicians who entered the camps.
“The number [of six million] is derived from what the head of the German Jewish community said to the Anglo-Americans shortly after the liberation. In the heat of the moment, he fired off a number. But how could he know?
“Who has ever talked about the Anglo-American genocide in the bombing of German cities? Who has ever talked about Churchill, who ordered the phosphorous bombing of Dresden, where there were not only many civilians, but also many Allied soldiers?
“Who has spoken about the English air force, which, in the bombing of the cities, killed hundreds of thousands of civilians?…And the Israelis certainly can’t tell me that the genocide they suffered from the Nazis is less serious than that of Gaza, simply because they’ve taken out a few thousand persons, while the Nazis took out six million. This is where I fault Judaism, which exasperates rather than honoring the victims of genocide decently. It’s as if there were only one genocide in history, that of the Jews during the Second World War. It seems like you can say anything you want about all the other exterminated peoples, but no one at the global level has spoken in the terms in which people are speaking today after the declarations of Bishop Williamson.

Concerning proselytizing, a bit of house cleaning might be in order before making a pitch for converts.

If indeed a bunch of people had gotten together and called for someone’s execution, and their wish had been fulfilled, the executioner would bear the responsibility. That specific bunch of people would have shared the blame - but only they, and no one else - and certainly not any future generations.

Accusing Jews of deicide is the “traditional” justification for pogroms and genocide.

Vatican City - Pope Benedict XVI has lifted the excommunications of four traditionalist bishops, including that of a Holocaust denier…the move came just days after one of the four, British Bishop Richard Williamson, was shown in a Swedish state TV interview saying that historical evidence “is hugely against 6 million Jews having been deliberately gassed.”

The Vatican spokesman, the Rev. Federico Lombardi, said Williamson’s views were “absolutely indefensible.” But he denied that rehabilitating Williamson implied that the Vatican shared them. “They are his personal ideas…that we certainly don’t share but they have nothing to do with the issue of the excommunication and the removal of the excommunication,” Lombardi told AP Television News.

In a statement Saturday, (Bishop Bernard) Fellay, who is one of the rehabilitated bishops, expressed his gratitude to Benedict and said the decree would help the whole Roman Catholic Church. Fellay, meanwhile, has distanced the society from Williamson’s remarks about the Holocaust, saying Williamson only had authority to discuss matters of faith and that he was personally responsible for his own opinions. But Fellay also berated Swedish state television, accusing it in a Jan. 21 letter of having introduced the Holocaust issue in the interview “with the obvious intention of misrepresenting and maligning,” the society.
“While Williamson’s comments may be offensive and erroneous, they are not an excommunicable offence,” said Monsignor Robert Wister, professor of church history at Immaculate Conception School of Theology at Seton Hall University in New Jersey. “To deny the Holocaust is not a heresy even though it is a lie,” he said. “The excommunication can be lifted because he is not a heretic, but he remains a liar.”

Monsignor Otto Mauer, pater familias of the actionists, was the official Catholic “caretaker of souls” for artists. In the Nineteen-Fifties Mauer, was instrumental in introducing modern art to post-war Austria. He founded the “Galerie St. Stephan” in Vienna and promoted such avant-garde artists as Wolfgang Hollegha, Josef  Mikl und Markus Prachensky.

However, artists came on the scene, whose work transcended theirs in sensationalism. Rather than using such materials as canvass, wood and stone, they used the human body, its fluids and secretions. These pioneers worked individually and as a group under the name of the Vienna Actionists, and Mauer concentrated his efforts on promoting them. With his backing, they set about conquering the International Art World, and indeed the trend has spread like wildfire.

Luminaries of the movement are Otto Mühl, Hermann Nitsch, Günter Brus, Peter Weibel, Valie Export and Rudolf Schwarzkogler.
